Fellow Feature: Meet Our Pharmacy Fellow Anastasia Jenkins, BSPh, Pharm D, FASHP, FMSHP Dr. Anastasia Jenkins has adored her involvement with MSHP since her residency at NMMC in Tupelo in 2010 under the direction of our other most recently recognized fellow, Dr. Kristie Gholson! She first became involved in the association as a Silent Auction organizer at our Annual Meeting. Since then, she has remained a highly engaged member, serving in multiple leadership capacities including President, Treasurer, Membership Coordinator, and Practice Advancement Initiative Chair. Her sustained contributions have been recognized with the MSHP New Practitioner Award, the Innovative Practice Award, and most recently, the 2024 MSHP Pharmacist Recognition (Fellows) Program Award. Nationally, Dr. Jenkins has also contributed to the advancement of the pharmacy profession through her involvement with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), having served on ASHP’s Commission on Affiliate Relations from 2021-2024. Through her combined academic, clinical, and organizational leadership, Dr. Jenkins continues to advocate for innovation in pharmacy education and health-system practice advancement. Professionally, she is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, based on the Oxford campus. Board certified in nutrition support, she maintains an active clinical practice in nutrition support and adult internal medicine at Baptist Memorial Hospital–North Mississippi, where she also serves as the PGY1 Residency Program Coordinator. In this role, she mentors residents and precepts pharmacy students across all levels, contributing to both experiential education and didactic instruction. Her academic responsibilities include leading the Gastrointestinal Module and offering a specialized Nutrition Support elective, with research interests focused on clinical transitions of care, parenteral nutrition, and practice-based teaching. | ![]() |
